FCRSC 2014 National Specialty

Motorhome packed and off Brent, Vicky, Lucy, and I went to the FCRSC 2014 National Specialty which was held in Kamloops, BC. It was held in conjunction with The Kamloops District and Kennel Club –August 28 – September 1, 2014. We met old friends and made many new ones!  The FCRSC held their Juvenile and Veteran Sweepstakes on Friday,  August 28. Vicky (Ch Inglis Victory Race), who turned 13 years old this past July,  was in the 11 years and old class and went third out of six. She still enjoys showing!  Later that day, the FCRSC held a booster under F/C breeder /judge Doug Windsor . With an entry of 50 F/C’s, Lucy went on the take Best of Opposite and won a lovely set of wind chimes. Saturday was very busy. The Kamloops All Breed Show was in the morning and Lucy went BOS again with any entry of 25 /C’s. Just after that, the 2014 Specialty started with an international entry of F/C’s – 105 of them! The show went on rain or shine and we had all kinds of weather. Mr.  Erling Kjaer Pedersen (from Denmark) did a thorough job of judging all of the dogs. We were so proud when he awarded Lucy Best of Opposite Sex and a beautiful green and white ribbon! We relaxed at the end of a busy day with on-site BBQ and visited with friends. The last two days of the Kamloops Dog Show saw Lucy go BOS both days. That made her five BOS out of five days of dog shows – under two F/C breeder judges and three international judges! What a weekend she had!
